TimeMachine Full Text Search
TimeMachine's Photon search engine currently uses the following Boolean search conventions:
- Most search words or phrases can be entered as is.
e.g., "John Macdonald". Photon defaults to AND.
- You can enter search terms in upper or lower case.
- You can enter French language words with accented characters. The search will retrieve words with and without accented characters. For example, a search on 'memoire' will return results for both 'memoire' and 'mémoire'.
- You can use the following symbols as search operators: AND (+), OR ( ), NOT (-), typing them just before the second word.
For example "Washington -George." returns all the Washingtons except George.
