TimeMachine Full Text Search

TimeMachine's Photon search engine currently uses the following Boolean search conventions:

  1. Most search words or phrases can be entered as is.
e.g., "John Macdonald". Photon defaults to AND.

  2. You can enter search terms in upper or lower case.

  3. You can enter French language words with accented characters. The search will retrieve words with and without accented characters. For example, a search on 'memoire' will return results for both 'memoire' and 'mémoire'.

  4. You can use the following symbols as search operators: AND (+), OR ( ), NOT (-), typing them just before the second word.
For example "Washington -George." returns all the Washingtons except George.
